Innovative, creative fashion projects with an eco bent.
About me / About business or organisation:
Nerida believes fashion expresses our values and the world we choose to create. Nerida is an international model working with labels like Gucci and Dior, but it’s not just the glamour of the catwalk that interests her; it’s ensuring social and environmental responsibility equals economic value in the fashion industry. Nerida is a fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs and a recipient of the Big Green Idea grant, awarded by the British Council globally to eco-visionaries. Using the grant Nerida, is producing a fashion film that will illuminate the real value (environmental and social) of fashion. Nerida is recognised by the Ethical Fashion Forum in London as a global Fellowship 500 sustainable fashion pioneer and was included in The Age Top 100 most influential, inspiring and creative people of Melbourne in 2011. Appearing in various publications and participating in local and international sustainable fashion groups, Nerida is well connected and informed with anything sustainable in the world of fashion. Nerida also teaches Sociology of the Environment at Swinburne University and is an ambassador for the climate change organisation 1 Million Women.
