I'd say I’m like a bottle of Laurent Perrier... forever bubbling with creative ideas!
Some call me the definitive style diva and others often say I’m the Simon Cowel of the Asian fashion industry!... but i see myself as a ‘creative junkie’ who happens to be very passionate about my work! I often wear the hat of a style expert, Events specialist and a creative director.
Over a decade now my name has been synonymous with the south Asian Fashion and media industries in the UK where I have worked with various international brands and organizations.
I had a glittering career in TV as a presenter, and as a trained catwalk model have had my fair share of sashaying down the runway for some of the biggest Asian designers and fashion house in the UK and India!
Career history / Company history:
After a wonderful career at Zee TV producing and presenting fashion and lifestyle programmes I worked at BBC Haymarket where I worked on The Clothes Show live, Max Power live, BBC Mega Mela, BBC Asia awards, launched the British Asian Fashion Awards and many other events, I set off on my own, it is then I saw a gap in the market for professional catwalk production, styling and a model grooming agent, so it became my mission to play an instrumental role in developing and in transforming the UK’s South Asian fashion scene. The lack of Asian faces in mainstream fashion, runway shows, mags &commercials simply gave me the determination to train aspiring ethnic faces , create new opportunities, and to lead the fashion industry and catwalk shows to unchartered territories!
Hence, Ooops... Events & Productions. The first of its kind, a professional, dedicated catwalk production, styling , model grooming and Events Company within the Asian industry. Our forte is in creating live brand experiences, providing a professional styling service, producing high profile, awe inspiring, adrenaline pumping and jaw dropping Catwalk extravaganzas, and suffice to say we are the first catwalk production company to start the trend of weaving drama and theatre into runway fashion shows for the Asian fashion market!
Together with my diverse team of hand-picked and trained backstage crew, hair and makeup artists, dance choreographers, models, dancers and various other like-minded adrenaline junkies, we continue to lead the Industry to an international platform.
