Bow ties from The Woven Way : Our name has two meanings.
First, there's the fact that we use woven fabrics, such as silk, cotton, and wool, to make our bow ties. These fabrics are made from two sets of threads (the warp and weft) woven together perpendicular to each other, like those cute paper placemats you made in kindergarten.
Then, there's the more metaphorical idea that all of us (the seven billion citizens of Planet Earth) are interconnected--woven together--in this beautiful fabric of humanity. Our goal is to take this big messy thing called globalization and use it for the most good we know how. We're committed to sourcing Fair Trade or organic fabrics, and when we can't do that, we respect our local communities by sourcing fabrics from small businesses.
We're just two women in Arkansas, trying to make the world a better place, one bow tie at a time.
Career history / Company history:
We just started up and are looking forward to a productive year partnering with local stores and farmers' markets.
