About me / About business or organisation:

I have worked in the international development sector for over 40 years, mainly in or on issues related to India. My work has included study of and developing programmes related to the artisanal sector in India.

Khadi CIC has recently been incorporated in London as a social enterprise (Community Interest Company)The main aim of the company is to promote hand spun hand woven (khadi) outside India. Our activities will also support the social enterprise and community development activities in India.

Career history / Company history:

I started my career as a social activist with the Gandhian movement in India in the late sixties and worked as a volunteer with the movement for about ten days. Since then I have worked as a journalist, an NGO administrator, researcher and development consultant.
