Networking opportunities with creative individuals.
About me / About business or organisation:
My name is Jordan Garner. I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in December of 2012 with a BA in French literature and language, and a separate concentration in Business. Since graduating, I spend two months abroad and am now working in Marketing and Sales for a beverage company in Denver, CO. In fall 2014, I hope to pursue a master’s degree in Europe, and I am hoping to study Political Science with a concentration in Human Rights. My two greatest passions in life are traveling and fashion, hence my love for the Ethical Fashion Forum! Because of my passion for traveling, thus far, I speak fluent English, nearly fluent French, proficient Spanish, and basic German. However, I would like to perfect my Spanish and German, and I am always open to learning new languages. Culture is also another aspect of traveling that I find fascinating. What may be normal in one country, can be seen as rude in another, therefore, cross-cultural communication skills are invaluable tools in business and daily life. Aside from traveling, my love for fashion is another important facet of my personality. Fashion is a way to express our individuality and creativity; but also, it is great tool in cross-cultural communication that can create further understanding and education for all parties involved.
Career history / Company history:
During my undergraduate career, I worked as a waiter for three years, then as a stylist and salesman for Nordstrom Inc. Since graduating, I have been working as a Marketing and Sales Coordinator for GoodDrinks. In this position, I act as a brand representative for current and potential clients. In addition, I create original content to connect with future customers through social media outlets.
