About me / About business or organisation:

I was born in the United States but grew up in Asia surrounded by extreme beauty and poverty. Inspired by the beauty of the region and touched by the inequality I witnessed I created KAYU - an ecological and ethical line of sunglasses.

Career history / Company history:

KAYU sunglasses are handcrafted from bamboo and were launched in October 2008. For every pair of glasses purchased, we donate all the funds needed for one sight-restoring surgery in the developing world.
