-Conduct a marketing survey among a random sample of fashion brands and retailers in order to learn their understanding and perception of Mauritius clothing industry;
-Define a communication strategy, and plan a campaign to position clearly Mauritius on market;
-Match Mauritius subcontractors with interesting Italian buyers, and arrange one-to-one meetings to favour business development. The final aim is increasing exports to Italy.

Successful PR campaigns for Première Vision Pluriel in Italy (leader fashion textile trade show in Paris from 2002 to 2005;
Conducted an insight on Russian clothing market for a group of Italian fashion accessory producers. Then, arranged the participation to a trade fair in Moscow, and raised funds to make all this project happen.

Managed successfully the Italian side of an international marketing project launched by ITC for a group of Sri Lankan private label clothing manufacturers. Responsible for the launch of the branding strategy of Sri Lankan clothing industry and business development. According to this strategy, Sri Lankan industry entered Italian market with a strong positioning determined by the unique, ethical values included in the chosen brand promise (Sri Lanka-Garments without Guilt). The success was also determined by the design and implementation of PR activity with opinion leaders which resulted in the organisation of an event including one-to-one meetings with buyers.

Selected achievements:
Fulfilled successfully the project’s marketing objectives;
Sri Lanka acquired a clear, ethical positioning on market;
Obtained a national visibility to the ethical project of Sri Lanka thanks to the winning formula of communication campaign.
Note: I was appointed ‘International Consultant’ by ITC-Genève while I was working for 360gradi. The project with ITC was a temporary project and did not conflict with my role within 360gradi

My name is Laricea Ioana Roman and I am a student at Kingston University, London (KU ID 0942659). I am doing a Master in Marketing, Advertising and Communications and at the moment I am writing my Dissertation. My topic is related to ethical clothing, more specifically, I am investigating how personal values influence customers' decision to buy ethical clothing.
