I am looking to discover or buy
As the business is growing I am looking to expand but I cannot handle all of the production on my own or even with some help anymore. I am looking to have part of the production on my bread and butter lines taken offshore. I only want to do this however if it is sustainable and ethical. I feel very passionately about this. The jewellery needs to be produced of a high quality using only sterling silver, rose gold or yellow gold also. I don't know where to start in terms of the research to find jewellers overseas but I found this site online because the girls who run ALAS Sleepwear also studied at the same university as me.
About me / About business or organisation:
I have a bachelor degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Fashion from Queensland University of Technology. After university I launched a jewellery label under my own name. My jewellery label is 100% made in Australia by hand by myself and one work colleague. All of our packaging is made in Australia, all of our materials and stones are sourced in Australia. The business has 5K followers through social media and has appeared in most high end Australian Fashion magazines including Russh, Oyster, Marie Claire, Vogue online, Yen, Cleo, Instyle, Shop Til You Drop, etc. We are about to begin selling to boutiques internationally.
Career history / Company history:
I have worked in retail for over ten years. I have owned and run my jewellery business for three years. My jewellery is sold nationally in Australia through boutiques and online. I have my own online store also. My parents are jewellers who taught me the trade and I have taken many short courses since graduating university to develop my silver and goldsmithing skills further.
