I have just completed my first year at Bristol University, studying History of Art. I have always taken an active interest in current styles and trends, and yet realise the stress the fashion industry places on both the enviroment and ethical standards.
Career history / Company history:
• Worked at the Royal Ballet School with the Wardrobe Mistress for three consecutive summers, the performances taking place on the Royal Opera House stage (2007-2010)
• Worked in fair trade clothes shop Wombat, February to May 2010
• Costumes for Bristol University drama department, including Alan Ayckbourne’s ‘A Small Family Bussiness’, and most recently the large scale production of ‘Alice in Wonderland”
• Worked at the Royal Scottish Opera in the wardrobe department, April to June, on Massenet’s ‘Manon’ full time work in Glasgow, 2009.
• Worked as an Au Pair in Paris looking after two children, ages 4 and 7. January to March full time work, 2009
• Assisting stylist on the photo shoot for Agent Provocateurs 2009 Spring/Summer collection of lingerie. The work included dressing models, choosing shoes, attending to hair, and the appearance of the models.
• Assisting stylist for the launch of Agent Provocateur’s new fragrance, ‘Diamond dust’ in 2008.
• Three months full time retail experience in the lingerie department at Selfridges, October to January 2008/2009
