I founded One Colour in 2007 as a way to address extreme global poverty by focusing on Trade, not just Aid. One Colour is fashioning connections with the people who make what we give and wear. Trading mostly with Africa, One Colour brings a range of responsibly sourced gear to the citizens of the world. Selling to wholesale customers and on-line retail customers.
Career history / Company history:
One Colour started in 2007 as a response to extreme poverty and as a way to ensure that those who make what we wear and give are not exploited in the work they do. What started out as a hobby has become a micro business, with the potential to grow further! With no formal training in business, design or fashion, it's been a challenge but one that I've persisted with as I can see the good that comes from supporting an ethical way to source and sell fashion and accessories' items. I wouldn't want to be doing anything else.
