I have been designing and making recycled clothing for a number of years.I began with a stall in Portobello Market and later Spitalfields in the mid nineties. At that time I also supplied a number of boutiques with one off items. I relocated to Brighton with my family 6years ago and had a unit for three years in Ship st Old Post Office Indoor market until it was closed down 2years ago.Since then I have sold at various festivals, fairs and markets aswell as small shops in the sussex area .
Career history / Company history:
I studied fashion/textiles at Middlesex graduating in 1984.
I then worked for Hat designers Bernstock/Speirs and then for Iain R.Webb at Blitz magazine as fashion assistant for 2 years.
I then went freelance as a stylist working for ID,The Face,Blitz and within the music Industry -music videos and promotion.
In the early 90's I began designing recycled clothing and selling them at Portobello Market and then Spitalfields. I have remained selfemployed continually since then whilst taking time out to bring up my son and travelling extensively for inspiration and sourcing craft materials to integrate into my own work.
