cob designs, est. 2016 by Charlene O'Brien, specialises in developing a premium high-end eco brand in quality sustainable apparel for men, women, children, and home wares with an additional range of selected West Australian native flora skincare. Design of the clothing is of Australian origin developed in the Perth Hills studio and manufactured according to skills and workmanship carried out with fairly traded principles in Australia, Cambodia and Japan. The skincare range is developed in Western Australia by an Aboriginal family using recipes from traditional and therapeutic qualities under the cob designs brand and has an overture of Australian that will appeal to the high-end tourism and international market.
Career history / Company history:
In 1997, Charlene O'Brien established and co founded the eco enterprise tierra ecologia which stands for [eco earth] , a brand name in eco textile and designer luxury apparel, which means great style made with integrity.

As an artist and designer, she specialise in creating eco couture from my her handcrafted eco textiles bearing in mind minimal impact on the environment. The concept aims for zero waste in manufacture through hand made techniques and also seek fairly traded practice with under privileged communities for their economic empowerment. The textiles produced are made from the purest of natural fibres preferably certified organic and sustainably sourced Australian plant dyes.

Australian eco couture label, Charlene O'Brien, has a unique one-off collection comprising of special occasion wear, hand felted jackets, gallery pieces, naturally dyed t shirts, blouses and dresses.
