My work deals fundamentally with a sense of unease. A succession of ongoing personal struggles concerning my love for highly synthetic, man-made fabrics versus a strong ethical conscience has resulted in a use of strictly salvaged and second-hand materials. My work often incorporates traditionally ‘girly’ objects such as glitter and sequins applied in such a way that renders the garments highly uncomfortable, often unwearable. I use my work as a form of discussion over this conflict between function and experimental expressionism.
Career history / Company history:
Second Place in the Scottish Fashion Awards ‘Graduate of the Year’ category, 2011 and Semi-Finalist in the Fashion Awareness Direct competition, 2011.
After graduating, worked as in-house dressmaker/seamstress for Lady Jojo’s Boutique, Edinburgh.
Now working as a freelance designer/dressmaker. Completed commissions for Girls’ Day Out and Birky Design Scotland among others.

Good day, How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very important to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site. Could you please get back to me on my private email(elizabethlevequees@gmail.com) if you dont mind ? Have a nice day and God bless you, elizabeth
