Work in the area of ethical sourcing, trading regulations, Fair Trade.
About me / About business or organisation:
One of my strongest interests today focuses on the manner in which products are sourced from the developing world and traded into the western world. Understanding supply chain dynamics and how these can differ depending on who the buyer is, or the ethical codes of practice that may or may not be applied to the trade of certain products, are of central concern when trying to see how trade with the developing world could grow to become more sustainable and deliver developmental benefits. Having studied these issues in the context of fair trade mainstreaming over the past decade, I now aim to become professionally involved in this broad area of work.
Career history / Company history:
2007-2008: MA Development Studies at SOAS (London), dissertation topic: ''How viable are market based solutions for Fair Trade?''
2007: Reasearcher for the Young Foundation (London) and assisted in setting up 'Our Democratic Heritage' charity.
2006: Reasearcher for Revolving Doors Agency (London)
2003-2006: BA Social Anthropology at the LSE (London)
