Organic fabrics, and sustainable notions I am aware of inequities in subsidisation of US cotton, so am particulary interested in African fabrics, and small amounts.
About me / About business or organisation:
My background is in Fine art and digital media, and teaching design. I realized I wished to create fabrics, then as I researched more I realized Eco was the only way to go. So I have imported sustainable haberdashery and fabrics and had the fabrics printed in New Zealand. As well as sourcing from Spoonflower on demand printing onto Organic cotton. I put out a newsletter explaining my products and the Eco choices we can make.
Career history / Company history:
My career history has mainly been as an educator in Art and Design in many guises. I have a masters degree in Fine art from RMIT. I have most recently have been self employed as a graphic designer, and in setting up a business designing and getting printed fabrics made, and most recently garments. My business is based on Cradle to cradle philosophy, and is in start up mode.
