Junky Styling book - wardrobe surgery - launch party

Junky Styling Design Team are showcasing some extreme, innovative pieces using suits, shirts and t-shirts.
The suiting creations show the versatility of tailoring. The Man’s All-In-One is made from 2 suits bonded together into a body conscious, strong form. The Ladies Coat Dress is made from one man’s suit sliced with silk tie fabric to make a theatrical, sculptural creation.

The shirting dresses exploit the repetition of shirt features. Hundreds of collars have been crafted into a statuesque feminine shape. Then the bodies of shirts have been ruffled and rouched into a soft, bouncy two piece, that has many layers enhancing the curves of the body.

T-shirts have been cut into symmetrical sections and fused together into a form reminiscent of blossoming flora. It’s an explosion of colour with a staggering 75 metre long hemline. The second figure hugging creation is a twisted jersey tube made up of layers of surface colour texture. This is worn with a draping cape that frames the form.
