Going on placement gives you the chance to see first-hand how the industry works, to put your learning into practice and to ask questions. No matter who you are doing your placement with, whether it is a high-street chain or small ethical company, you will have the opportunity to explore the ethics of the industry.
Fashioning an Ethical Industry run placement training for students who are interested in working conditions in garment manufacture and are about to go on, are currently on or have been on a work placement. The training is open to any students regardless of whether their placement has an explicit focus on 'ethical issues'. Through the training, students will gain a deeper understanding of issues faced by garment workers and efforts being made to improve conditions and enable them to share their experience with other students on work placements.
The training will take place between 1.00 - 4.00 pm in London (exact location tbc) on the 28th April 2010.
