Get to grips with essential Photoshop skills in as little as a day with Victoria & Albert Museum Photoshop Tutor Paddy Hartley. Learn how to use core Photoshop tools common across all Photoshop versions (both PC and Mac) as both a corrective and creative tool in an intensive day-long workshop.

Why Photoshop?
Having an understanding of the essential Photoshop tools is invaluable for those working in creative industries, marketing and design allowing you to generate web imagery, retouch or enhance photos, design for print, surface and repeat pattern and creating visuals for presentations. Learning to use essential Photoshop image editing tools could save your business time and money in the preparation of images for your newsletters, leaflets and general design.

This introduction to Photoshop will cover all the essential features you will need to get you up and running with confidence with the industry standard photo/image manipulation design software. The workshop will feature the following 5 topics along with open questions throughout.

1. Navigating your way around the Photoshop workspace
2. Understanding working with layers
3. Modifying the colour of your photographs
4. Photo repair and retouching
5. Applying and formatting text

In addition to your tuition, clients will receive a set of clear PDF documents covering the essentials of the session along with a 2-week window of email follow-up advice. Clients will also receive a series of recommended online tutorials to enhance the skills learned during the sessions.

Clients must have their own laptop with either Photoshop Elements, Photoshop CS2 or later. You will also be introduced to free online Photoshop mimics for use in combination with Photoshop.

Individual at home/work tuition is also available for which HUB members still receive a discount. Bespoke sessions geared around template design (surface pattern, leaflet design etc) can also be catered for. Email Paddy directly for details
