Hi All, just to let you know that the first tartan ever to be woven in Africa came off the loom yesterday (Ive added a pic on my profile).: carded, spun, and dyed locally from the weavers local flock, without the useof pesticides and no reduction in the water suppy the cloth will continue its ethical, eco-friendly trail to be made into garments and accessories by local producers for domestic use and the US schools market. The South Africa tartan will be launched on the 16th. December - South Africa's 'Day of Reconciliation - at a televised reception attended by government ministers and a host of celebrities. The South Africa is the first of 22 'national' tartans being produced for the garment and fashion industry throughout Africa and beyond.

Hi guys, I could not make it to the Africa-event in London and was wondering if there is a write-up report or press release/photos on it available? I am sure a lot of people who could not attend would be interested.
thank you!

Hiya - we'll have a table at the Spotlight on Africa seminar this evening at RichMix. We'll have samples and brochures showing examples of our tshirts and leisurewear made in Tanzania in our completely vertical factory. We supply both "blanks" from stock in the UK and can custom make for clients. Look forward seeing some of you there!

Hi All

(a quick apology to all those who cant make it OR who are not interested)

I wanted to give a short reminder to all who have shown their interest in the fashion show. As previously mentioned I will have a table on the night and ask you to pass by and say hello before the show and we can all meet up after the show. Please come to the table again and from there we can find a spot to talk.

I appreciate you all showing interest and look forward to meeting you all tomorrow and seeing your work examples too

Kind rgds

Hi All

This message is for all those who have mentioned their interest in showcasing their designs at the Africa Fashion Show that I am helping to organise.

As previously mentioned a meeting is being arranged for us all to meet and for you to hear more about the show and what you will need to do to take part.

This meeting will be on Tuesday August 18th at the Rich Mix Centre taking place AFTER the Africa Seminar held by the EFF. I encourage you to all go to the seminar whether you are taking place in the show, but if you cannot make the seminar then please come to the Rich Mix around 8pm after the seminar to attend the meeting and bring pictures and or samples of your product

Also please note that I will be preparing a table for the seminar and will be promoting the show from there so you can come and speak to me there too

I look forward to meeting you on the 18th!
