Hi Mary,

I'm a fashion designer & consultant working with global clients especially helping start up labels from concept to completion. Currently I'm helping a Non Profit Organization,a rural women enterprise in North India to market their products in apparels  with 35 types of hand embroidery and hand made jewelery made from wooden beads, glass beads, shell and ceramic beads. We are looking for bulk buyers/wholesalers and retailers for our products. Can you point me towards any leads ? You can contact me at fuel4fashion@gmail.com. Thanks so much !

Hi Mary,

Thanks for taking a peek at my newly created profile.  I remember Panchachuli from the October Forum in London, and your message prompted me to have another look at your website to see the work that you are doing... fantastic!

I truly hope that my new label Solsista grows quickly and is able to incorporate some of the fantastic fabrics and accessories that Panchachuli produce and do our little bit to support such a fantastic initiative.

Keep me posted on any news.  And I'll be sure to get in touch when we're established and buying.

Regards

Regine

Hi Mary,

So sorry it's taken me forever to reply but I haven't been on here since I set it up - busy working my socks off!!!

The fabrics and story behind them are fantastic. I currently use a supplier from India as well and love the fact it is traced directly back to the villages and that it keeps vital and important textile skills live.

Please keep in touch as it would be great to use you as a supplier in the future both for myself and other designers I work with.

Kind regards,

Rachel

Hi Mary, thanks for this. The fabrics look beautiful & certainly in line with my thoughts.
Would you be able to give widths, prices & usual delivery times please? And would i be right in thinking the colours are standard, due to the vegetables etc used to dye? Is there any way of seeing / feeling the fabrics? Thanks. Rebecca

Hello Mary,

Been a while since I've had a chance to chat. I had a long look at Panchachuli's website a while back and I was really impressed. I wonder: Do they retail the yarn itself? I would be very interested in replacing my current supplier, and find an ethical supplier, once we settle in Cambodia in January.
Let me know at your convenience.

Mary - thank you for your message. Your fabrics look great, and I will keep them in mind. The brand is going to be sporting/casual - but if there's an opportunity to use something like this, I will definitely be in touch.

Thanks for your interest.

Hi Mary! it's great to hear from you, thank you for messaging me! As i've recently graduated from my course, i've been increasingly looking for opportunities to explore ethical retailing. I've had a brief look at your site, and i'm very impressed, this is just the type of thing i'm so very keen to develop in my own career. At the moment, i am working and saving moeny to travel back to India to emerse myself in the cultures that produce our clothing. I believe doing this will be hugely benificial in developing my understanding of developing countries and how they produce and manufacture our products. Once i'm able to see this I would like to work in the Uk promoting ethical retail in any way possible. I look forward to seeing you at the Global Marketplace, good luck with everything.

Hey mary, great to hear you were part of shared talent as well,
Have you been to see the stall at london fashion week. we were there on friday and there was a great response to the garments that were made.
There will be a showcase of all the work in november/december so that will be a great chance to see all that was made for the project.
I was actually weaving out there so i created all my own cloth which was an amazing experience!!!
Where abouts do you produce your cloth in India? would love to know how you got involved with sustainable and ethical production. As i have just got back im now looking into finding placements and work experience in the Uk industry - and wondered if you knew of any leads i could try???
look forward to hearing from you
best wishes
Holly
