is bamboo fiber fabric ethical?

Given what is written about bamboo,

I am wondering if bamboo fibres fabric (not viscose) automatically uses  chemical product

if so, does it require  more chemical treatment than coton .... ?

Are chemical products/treatments also used for organic coton, hemp or linen ?
