People to work with and people who are interested in Ethnic and unique designs!
About me / About business or organisation:
“Fashion is a lifestyle and a reason for me to live “
- NINA G.
Born 1981, Mississippi. A Fashion and Costume Designer.
From my childhood days, I have had a flair for designing and started sewing at a very young age. Later I attended the University of Cavandish for 2 semesters and realized that I was missing on my forte, so I discontinued it and decided to launch my own label under my name.
The way we dress seems to define who we are, especially in an age where appearance is often all. Sartorial habits can also stir controversy. But wherever there is much stricture and unvarying conformity, fashion can assume a unique vibrancy. Fashion “is a form of rebellion that the youth choose as their weapon”; something to assert their individualities with. "Nina G" satisfies the craving of an image-obsessed clientele, mostly, the rebellion youth.
My work is an outcome of all the cultural influences around me. My mother being American and my father being Iranian has developed a style of my own which has the best of both the worlds. I try to have a style which speaks with both a cultural touch and a touch of class. My work on the whole is a portrait of my individuality and the human being that I am from the heart.
Career history / Company history:
Many underground Fashion shows and Theatre work. I own my own business label "Nina G". I have been interviewed by reporters including Christiane Amanpour and have been featured on BBC, CNN, World News and Politics, London Times, and many more. I have been in Vogue Germany, Vision China, Gallarie, The Mag New Mexico, Le Figaro France, Pause Magazine Switzerland, and many more. I have many clients all across the world and currently moved back to the US and looking to build my business here.
