Thanks very much for your reply. I'm not sure exactly where I will be when yet but when I have firmer plans I'll get back in contact. It would be great to learn more about the projects that you are working with over there.
Hi Julius, I love the board in your pictures - what is it?! I'm planning a trip around Africa later this year to meet and work with ethical suppliers/projects as a sort of fact-finding mission before I eventually set-up my own business. Do you know of any great projects that are worth visiting or would appreciate any assistance in training or development? I plan to spend a few months with a variety of projects to see how we can all work together and make the supply base in Africa stronger and more accessible to western markets. Many thanks, nicola.
i am making contacts with those based in countries such as kenya, ghana, uganda, tanzania to name a few. I have set up my clothing label with an aim to work with tailors, factories, workshops and initiatives in african countries with an ethical and fairtrade direction. So I am seeking contacts who are based in these countries to network with and find out more info which will help me when i visit next easter
Hi Julius, have a look at the pics on my profile and you'll an outfit in the Kenya tartan. The tartan incorporates the colours in the Kenyan flag and has been approved and accepted by the UK High Commissioner on behalf of Kenya. It offers an ideal business opportunity that can also have humanitarian benefits
I noticed you have done some freelance design work in Nairobi and many other things in Kenya. Therefore I would like to invite you to join the Africa group where you can meet some useful contacts. I'm the group administrator and will inform you of upcoming events and send you useful relevant information. See you in the group :)
