About me / About business or organisation:
I make unique, beautiful accessories and jewellery from a sustainable, ethical perspective.
In my work and life there is a strong emphasis on sustainability and this is reflected in the materials and processes used in jewellery making. Using reclaimed materials I like to think of my jewellery as contemporary wearable sculptures. The design is of primary importance, the fact the materials are recycled is fundamental but not obvious.
I hope that my work might provoke thought and inspire creativity as an example of how one persons waste can be transformed into desirable valuable design.
Career history / Company history:
Emma Ware is a London based artist and designer with a background in fine and applied arts.
After studying for a degree in Fine Art at Wimbledon School of Arts and a diploma in Broadcasting at Ravensbourne College I went on to build a career in Film and TV, working in the camera department as a clapper loader and focus puller.
Frustrated by the wasteful TV industry and needing a creating outlet I turned my attention to creating 'wearable sculpture'. My designs are continuously evolving and are now becoming larger pieces bordering on garments.
