About me / About business or organisation:
I am currently a student at Brighton University studying Fashion with Business, I am in my final year. As part of my degree I am required to research and submit a detailed business plan. This will give me an opportunity to graduate with a plan that will help me formulate and evaluate future work options.
I would like to start up an ethical fashion label working directly with weaving cooperatives in Peru, collaborating with these artisans to help create financial stability for their communities, and to encourage them to continue using their traditional skills by paying a fair wage. I hope this will give indigenous peoples an incentive to continue their important cultural traditions of craft, and to involve the consumer in a partnership which sustains rather than exploites skilled workers overseas.
I would like to use source to help me determine a likely target market for my business as well as give me a better understanding of what is involved in starting an ethical fashion buisness.
Career history / Company history:
Worked at Peter Pilotto, and Kim Howells, London UK
