Dear Jane,

My name is Laricea Ioana Roman and I am a student at Kingston University, London (KU ID 0942659). I am doing a Master in Marketing, Advertising and Communications and at the moment I am writing my Dissertation. My topic is related to ethical clothing, more specifically, I am investigating how personal values influence customers' decision to buy ethical clothing. In order to come up with some answers for my topic, I need some opinions from people who actually bought ethical clothes.

This is the reason why I am kindly asking you to help me and fill in my questionnaire. It will take you no more than 10 minutes and you can win three books and £30 vouchers!

Thank you for your consideration,

PS - in regards to my website - thank-you very much, a friend of mine, Andy Ennis created it for me, he is so talented in the area of web design and in taking photographs.
The garments - no not yet, made with the fabrics I have to hand in local fabric shops but I really want to push it into getting made up in natural fabrics that protect and work with the environment.

Hello again Jane,
Huge thank-you's for the message and thank-you too about the compliment about my writing skills, I do feel it comes as a bit of a natural gift to me - more than talking sometimes! But I am learning day by day which is always great.
Yes I will check out that website you told me about, thank-you. Do you use it too? Do you find it useful?
I know the work of Hogarth - a great draftsman. Have you seen his work? David Hockney produced these amazing drawings, I think for the theatre, all about Hogarth's work - 'The Rakes Progress' - Do you know it, anyway, personally I think Hockney's representation was far more fun because he used stripes and bold reds, blues and white - kind of nautical but a very caricature style of drawing.
How fun being surrounded by aussies, my partner is an aussie and he is forever making me laugh! - Great cook too, and photographer of landscapes and nature.
How cool to be alive in those days, when the beatles were around, carnaby street in full swing, mary quant, twiggy!!! So so cool.
Wish you a great weekend.

Hi there Jane,
Hey, thanks for the comment - your the first person and I am very grateful, thank-you.
Wow, Montreal, thats quite a way from London, how is it over there? Quite cold here but we occasionally have some sunshine too, I feel utterly blessed as my flat faces the west where the sun sets, so we have these amazing sun beams that rise and fall across the wall and gives amazing shadows.
I loved reading your 'about me' - sounds so exciting, having a cat called Hemingway! We were lucky enough to travel over to Cuba last year and walked to the top to the Hemingway bar - amazing views of Havana. Stunning!!! Ski adventures, kayaking ... I'm not quite a ski-er but I love the sense of adventure like abseiling out of a plane!!! Raising money all at the same time whilst experiencing the rush of your life!
I see you too own your own company ... maybe we can swop info as I am a tad in-experienced, I just have this dream bubbling up inside of me that wants to explode!
Let me know your views and many smiles from London town.

Hi Jane,

I don't have a line in production yet. I am currently looking for a manufacturer to partner with to produce a new line of women's casual lifestyle sportswear (my forte) who has a factory in place with good ethics and working conditions. I have been designing for traditional manu. for several years and am unsatisfied with how the garments have been produced (i.e. cheap labor, poor working condtions, fabrics that have been dyed using harmful chemicals etc.) I am an environmentalist with a deep respect for the earth and garment workers and don't want to compromise anymore. If you can recommend any fabric suppliers and manu. that support this thinking, even if they are not in Southern California that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again.

Hi Jane,
I am very happy to make your acquaintance. Do you know of any sustainable/organic manufacturers in the Southern California area?
I am interested in designing for a co. that shares my interest in producing clothing that is beneficial for humanity and the planet. Tell me more about your role in the ethical clothing industry. Thanks much.
