INTERNSHIPS

The EFF has several internship opportunities, generally based at its offices at Rich Mix, although we also need external contributors on some projects. Travel and food costs are covered for interns based at RichMix. We endeavor where possible to progress interns towards paid positions, if not with the EFF, then with our partners and network.

Executive placements

The EFF is looking for an intern to work alongside the EFF’s strategic director.
The successful applicant needs to be inspired by ethical fashion, clever, creative and full of ideas.
The role will include attending important meetings and meeting key industry players, engaging and assisting with a range of exciting projects from Africa Inspires to INNOVATION, promoting the most exciting new ethical fashion designers.

Project interns and contributors

We are looking for interns to contribute to the following projects:

INNOVATION
Working alongside the project manager for the EFF’s International INNOVATION competition, promoting and supporting the new generation of ethical fashion designers. Applicants for this position need to have a background/ training in fashion, be passionate about fashion and ethics, and have good written and people skills.

EFF NETWORK
Working alongside the project manager for the EFF online network and mail outs, this position will include contributing and liaising with contributors to the site, improving and adding to the network site and website, attending and reporting on networking events and parties.
Applicants need to be inspired by fashion and ethical fashion and good with people.

FASHION INSIDER
We are looking for several contributors to our Fashion Insider bulletin launching in May 2009.
This will be a subscription online magazine for anyone really interested in fashion, and will include news, celebrity and designer interviews, and stories and photos from around the world, with a focus on sustainability. We are looking for writers and reporters to contribute to Fashion Insider, both London based and in an international reporting role. We are looking for contributors from Africa, Asia and South America, as well as the US, Australia, Japan and other parts of Europe. This will initially be on an internship basis, with the potential for a paid role based on successful subscription rates.
Applicants need to be passionate about fashion and ethics and have good writing and reporting skills.

SPOTLIGHT ON SOURCING AND SOURCING SUMMIT
We are looking for an intern to assist the new Spotlight on Sourcing events co-ordinator (details above), starting in May 2009.
Applicants must have an understanding and interest in fashion and ethics and good people skills.
