Here at the EFF, we recognise all of the hard work it takes to achieve any goal. Having said that, once all that hard work has paid off, we also recognise the importance of celebrating success. So after announcing the winners of this year's Innovation and Innovation USA - it seemed only natural that we would throw them a party
is years Innovation Awards Ceremony took place in the glamourous surroundings of the Cinnamon Kitchen’s ‘Bar Anise.’ Marketting itself as a ‘new concept’ the restaurant and bar, situated in Devonshire Square aims to infuse traditional Indian cooking methods with a modern – day setting in order to present guests with a unique and pleasurable experience. From the plush sofa’s to the purple interiors, the Bar Anise was a stylish and sophisticated venue, and was the perfect place to hold a fashion event.
Taking place on the 21st of October, the Innovation Awards Ceremony was crammed full of guests including representatives from winning Innovation and Innovation USA brands such as Soham Dave, ALAS, Caipora Jewellery, EKO and Ethos – all of whom were recognised by the Innovation judges Courtney Blackman and Alina Reastep (of SIX magazine) for their unique approach towards sustainable fashion.
Joining us to celebrate this recognition were all sorts of guests from the world of sustainable fashion including representatives from ethical brands Good-one, Michelle Lowe-Holder and MT Labels as well as a wide range of press.
Of course, a party is not a party unless the drinks are flowing, and in celebration of the Innovation Winners, Bar Anise concocted the ‘Ethical Fashion Rock’s’ cocktail made from rum, pomegranate juice and lime. Priced at only £5, they proved popular amongst guests
Autumn is always a busy period for the EFF, and although the Innovation Awards are finished for this year, we still have the SOURCEexpo to look forward to at Sadler’s Wells on 17th/18th October.
