Naseeba Sacranie, UK’s ultimate Asian Style Diva, was recently appointed to style and produce high profile fashion shows with International designers and luxury couture brands
Etoile ‘‘La boutique’’, the multi-brand luxury couture concept recently hosted a spectacular fashion show under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Alain Azouaou, French Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. The organisers appointed style and creative Director Naseeba, to style and produce the fashion show which was held at the Emirates Palace hotel, Abu Dhabi, as part of the capital city’s month-long French Season.
Celebrating the UAE’s strengthening ties with France the show was attended by diplomats, high end society and press members.
Legendary French fashion houses, Dior, Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Lacroix and Azzaro provided the ultimate ‘wardrobe fix’ for all connoisseurs of high-end fashion . the show also featured the new generation of French brands, taking centre stage were, Sharon Wauchob, Trash Couture, Cher Michel Klein, Didier Ludot and Moye & Da.
Until Recently, Naseeba Sacranie was known for revolutionising UK's Asian fashion industry with the first of its kind one stop fashion creative shop! 'Ooops...the Show Production Team', is specialising in styling, choreography, grooming Asian models and catwalk production. Over the past ten years, Naseeba has styled, directed and produced shows for some of the biggest designers and models from India, Pakistan and the UK. Also responsible for the Asiana Bridal catwalk for the last 8 years, The Asian Lifestyle Shows, Backstage management for IIFAS in London, Yorkshire, and SA and many others events. Prior to setting up her own business, she was responsible for events such as the BBC Clothes show Live, BBC Mega Mela, British Asian Fashion Awards and many other events and TV shows on Zee TV.
Recently, Naseeba took her undefeated and unmatched fashion and creative expertise to international territories, where she sprinkled her magic in abundance.
Taking to the catwalk to an exhilarating backdrop of tribal beats and international models, Naseeba Styled the entire show, working with the season’s collections by designers she once dreamt to work with.
'I always said I wanted to take it to international territories , to be the first and pave my way, I thrived on a new challenge, so when I was appointed for this show, I can’t explain how thrilled I was to work with all those international luxury brands, it was a dream come true!' Naseeba enthused.
'Admittedly, the task at hand was daunting at first, especially having to work with luxury designers and brands who have very specific and strict criteria’s, which I had to keep in mind at every step, I’m also a stickler for attention to detail and time so I somehow find and awaken the patient side of me, people in the UAE seemed extremely relaxed and decisions were made very last minute. Not forgetting getting used to working in 44 degrees heat! Nevertheless it was a fantastic experience working with the entire team and the show was a great success.
The safari and jungle theme was brought to life with Naseeba’s trademark edgy styling and theatrical story telling woven into runway shows. The stories of the jungle, unfolded as the day begun at sunrise through to dusk and into the midnight featuring some of the most exquisite dresses and gowns. The models tore up the runway wearing ultra-feminine chiffon jungle toned pieces, ensembles with graphic prints, a hint of the classic safari look and accompanied by the brighter bolder colours of the season including the scorching hot yellows, pinks, aqua blues, and shades of jungle greens
Capricious femininity, luscious layers, exquisite embroidery, ruffles, bows and cutting-edge eccentricity worked hand-in-hand, bringing the concept ‘more is more’ to the forefront of the season. Paired with seductive heels and must-have accessories, the show was a striking couture ensembles that captured Etoile ‘‘La boutique’’ dynamic and gracious signature style..
The Lancôme Paris make-up team worked their magic keeping with the safari theme but accentuated with the bold and frivolous makeup done by This unleashed the fierce yet elegant face of the models. With their mesmerizing smoky eyes and with their cherry red lips, the wild aura of the show was even more irresistible.
All in texture, hairstyles provided by L’Oreal Professionnel, hit the show with curves and volume of uninhibited attitude.
The trend-setting couture concept’s show certainly served to blaze a trail from the fashion houses of France to the wardrobes of the UAE
