September: A month packed with great events and promotions (as well as the odd sheep)

September is upon us and as the official Autumn month we welcome a jam packed schedule of delicious events and exciting new collections from our favorite designers and brands.  Everyone at EFF HQ are very busy getting excited and prepared for everything coming up over the next 6 weeks.

WOOL WEEK UK

1) Organic Month. This is the Industry's month long celebration of all things organic. Headed by The Soil Association.  They are currently offering a range of online resources geared towards educating and connecting people in and amongst the organic industry.  'Organic Connect' is their new online directory designed to connect organic business and consumers.  Join the ranks of John Lewis, Tesco, National Trust and of course the EFF in supporting and prompting Organic month's significance. The Soil Association Organic Month Page is a must read and you can find out all sorts of information on events over the month of September.

2) Wool Week (5th-11th Sept). There is a huge spotlight on Campaign for Wool and their mission to 'embrace all things woolly'. The highlight of Wool Week this year is an exhibition titled WOOL MODERN launching at La Galleria in London – a celebration of wool in the 21st century. Combining a peek into the historic archives of iconic designers with innovative pieces from furniture to art and photography.  So do like Dame Viv and sign the Love-Wool pledge and receive free knitting patterns!

3) London Fashion Week (16th-20th).  The Ethical Fashion Forum and the Source Intelligence will be present at London Fashion Week this month. Having recently attended Pure and the success and interest we received means we'll once again be visiting exhibitors.  We are extremely excited to see the new collections of our favorite sustainable designers like Ada Zanditon and Christopher Reaburn.

4) Innovation USA winners showcase at NOLCHA. NY. Our winners of the USA Innovation Awards 2011 will showcase at Nolcha Fashion Week as part of their Innovation prize.  The winners include Afia, Carrie Parry, Soham Dave and Ethos. Despite this being the first year of INNOVATION USA, the standard of the applications was extremely high and after much deliberation, awards were presented to the four applicants whose innovative collections demonstrated that fashion forward design and ethical business practice are not mutually exclusive.
