Almost every day now we hear something in the news about climate change, the effects of our lifestyle on our planet and the abuse of power in the business community.  It looks like these issues are here to stay and people power is working.

To the small business owner, dedicated to producing sustainable fashion/apparel it might still seem like a hard upward climb, but research shows that the landscape might be changing.

When 2000 adult consumers were asked about their fashion buying habits, 10% of the population said that they have bought fashion claiming to be ethical.  Almost a quarter of the population said they would be willing to pay 5% more fashion/ or clothes ethically produced.

When asked knowing what they know about ill practices amongst fashion suppliers had they ever taken action? 24% said they had and the vast majority took action in the form of buying ethical clothing.  This research was conducted by www.ethicoloigst.com
