We were in the audience last Monday as Alchemy presented some of the hottest fashion designers currently working in India. Promoter and Radio 1 DJ Nihal added to the athmosphere of this free event by DJ-ing live on the night.

 

Opening the show was designer Sanjay Garg, whose collection created a fusion between traditional Indian dress and modern tailoring, seen through vibrant floor length skirts and fitted blouses.

Also showing were Gaurav Jai Gupta whose engineered hand woven and hand dyed creations formed subtle and controlled silhouettes. Prashant Verma made a big impact with their graphic digital prints (above) while Morphe by Amit Aggarwal's designs are all about the transformation of raw influences into modern and eclectic design.
