Hello all!

My name is Nadeen Roberts. I am a new member to the SOURCE community and just wanted to introduce myself.  I am 24, from a small town in Pennsylvania, however I moved to LA almost two years ago to pursue my love for Eco-fashion.  I am currently taking classes to develop the skills necessary to begin my own small green apparel business and label.  I am so excited to be learning about the innovations and developments of the Eco-fashion world.  I welcome any of you guys to reply with thoughts, commentary, or just to chat.  Also I am interested in learning about the best sources for natural and organic fabrics. If anyone can make some suggestions I would really appreciate it!

Thnak you so much for the warm welcome Georgie! I am so excited to be a part of a community which shares the same passion for the environment and fashion as I do.  I will be sure to check out those links, and soon I will start uploading some of my designs, as I am still learning the sewing process, so finished garments will come later on.

Hi Nadeen thanks so much for introducing yourself! There are some interesting Groups that you should join - hover over the Connecting tab, go to Groups and search for Fabric Pool, RE:Sources and perhaps also the USA group? There are lots of ways you can start to get information and connect with people who can help/inspire; joining Groups and starting a discussion in the Forum are great starting points. You could also consider uploading photos of or information on your work/what you are learning in class etc. Oh, and there is also a Recycling group which might be a source of inspiration if you are interested in fabric sourcing.
