Godfather of Pop Art, Sir Peter Blake heralds in a 'new culture of sustainability'!

Creators of the unique recycled tube & bus seating footwear and accessories brand ABOVE+BELOW LONDON, have been collaborating with the pioneer and godfather of British Pop Art, Sir Peter Blake. The results are a series of fantastic 5,000 limited edition ‘recycled tin’ wall signs entitled; "I LOVE LONDON" and "I LOVE RECYCLING", recently unveiled at the National Recycling Awards 2009 at the Hilton Park Lane (27th October).

As a keen recycler himself, Sir Peter urges us to embrace ‘a new culture of sustainability’ targeting a zero waste future. These works are a declaration to the city that continues to inspire him, and his creativity.

Featuring his iconic heart, star, target & rainbow motifs these stunning 10 'spot' colour lithographs produced and hand-finished in the UK by Creatively Recycled Empire are in keeping with the affordable 'Art for All' series he began back in 1967 with "Babe Rainbow"; (a 10,000 edition on tin), the same year he designed The Beatles “Sgt Peppers” album cover.

"I LOVE LONDON" and "I LOVE RECYCLING" limited edition recycled tin wall signs (169mm x 219mm) are available now for £40.00 each / £80.00 including UK p&p per set.
In light of the fact Sir Peter's "Babe Rainbow" -which originally sold for £1 in '67, are fetching upwards of £500, (if you can get hold of one), these amazing tin artworks are a shrewd investment and make wonderful gifts.

Individually packaged with authentication certificate. More details can be seen at http://www.urbanremade.com/catalog/specials.php
