Fashion Fights Poverty (FFP) is inviting all ethical and alumni eco-sustainable fashion designers to be considered for upcoming FFP collaboration for an Earth Month event in April and for other events and collaborations throughout 2013.
FFP is looking for the top established and emerging women’s wear and menswear fashion designers who follow the criteria of eco-sustainability and ethical fashion. For information about designer criteria, please visit the website
FFP started in 2005 by Style and Image Network in partnership with the United Nations. FFP is an ethical fashion campaign that celebrates the work national and international designers who employ ethical means and practices in their design and manufacturing processes, producing products that promote economic development and the betterment of a given community. Furthermore FFP educates consumers about these products while raising awareness about how to shop responsibly for fashion that is sweatshop-free, eco-friendly and socially conscious. The FFP team is always on the look-out for designers and organizations to feature either on the runway, the look book or in our promotional materials (for example, our website and promo cards).
To be considered, designers must provide the following information and send by email to ycastro@fashionfightspoverty.org:
- Designer Name, Web Address, Email Address, Business and /or Cell Phone Number.
- Images (jpg, pdf, flickr, web link or similar) of recent samples of garments you made (between 2-3 images).
- Video web address(es) of recent collection(s) along with event and location where video was taken.
- Designer statement (no more than 500 words) describing your work including your eco-sustainable/ethical fashion statement.
- Current (Fall 2013 and/or Spring 2014) collection(s) concept statement(s).
