SANYUKTA SHRESTHA ‘PIPPA’ PAPER WEDDING GOWN NOW PRESERVED IN BATH FASHION MUSEUM
Bath Fashion Museum, which houses world famous designers such as Alexander McQueen and John Galliano, has now officially welcomed the couture wedding gown, made of 30years old newspapers named Pippa, from Sanyukta Shrestha’s 2013 collection.
From ordinary to extraordinary, the Pippa gown is an incredible piece of art as well as statement on the importance of eco-friendly fashion. It is unique, dramatic and shows a real story that gives a sense of history. Made of 30 years old newspapers and aided by Nepalese hand loomed organic cotton the gown is finished with nearly three thousand Swarovski Crystals to wow it’s audience.
The Fashion Museum collection aims to educate and inspire future generations through the presentation of beautiful fashions from the past. We are privileged to pass on Pippa to her new home here where she will become a part of this wonderful institution.
