You were looking for inspiration Marie so I thought you might be interested in something unusual. Something which might be immensely satisying and profitable.
I design tartans and own the rights to a few US state tartans and the San Francisco or 49ers' tartan. Ive just desgned a set for NFL teams: Rams, Dolphins and Packers and plan to do more including LA Raiders. I also have access to the California tartan.
