About me / About business or organisation
I graduated from The University of Derby in January 2009 with a First Class BA (hons) in Fashion Studies. My final collection consisted of womenswear outfits created from fusing recycled bridalwear fabric and organic textiles with sponcership from The Pesiticide Action Network. Ethical Fashion has always been an interest of mine, and has delevoped over my time at university and work placements. I now work for a vintage clothing etailer That Indie Look, where I am beginning to develop our inhouse upcycled designs, mainly dresses created from vintage shirts. This is something we are hoping to progress with over the next few months.
Career history / Company history
Since finishing university I assisted the cotton project coordinator at PAN Uk with the Moral Fibre booklet and the Ethical Fashion Show in Paris. I now work for a vintage clothing etailer called That Indie Look. During my studies I held work placements with Alexander McQueen assisting in the creative studios, John Lewis as a designers assistant and at Courtyard Bridalwear as a seamstress.
