Bush Princess combines traditional African tribal craftwork with urban living. Each piece has a character and purpose as unique as the person to whom it belongs.
Designer and Founder, Charlotte Lefebvre’s inspiration stems not only from European styles, but also from the many peoples, crafts and traditions of rural Kenya. The earthy tones of the endless African plains infuse into her collections, and many pieces feature local trims and the impressive beadwork of the Maasai women, giving each piece its own unique identity.
At bush princess, we pride ourselves on the high quality of our products. All production is carried out by hand, with care and attention to detail, giving a high quality finish to each piece that cannot be offered by a machine.
At Bush Princess, we help to support the local community by hiring a fantastic team of staff, based at our very own Bush Princess workshop in Nairobi. Here, we employ 7 permanent staff members, all of whom we teach valuable production skills that will help to establish their careers within Nairobi’s growing fashion industry. We value our community of workers highly and support them by providing financial help in order to help them to, for instance, send their children to better schools.
