About me / About business or organisation:
My name is Victor Juma, I was born in a family of nine and am the third born. My father who was working as a civil sarvant in town retired 1998 January unfortunately died 1998 June when i was still in standard seven. Being my father was the bread winner and my mother was to mothering and cooking. Life turned to be so hard to my mother, and the family left was of that big number. My mother had no next step to start with and my education went in vain due to school fee that my mother couldn,t afford hence she had no job. The life to my family become so misearable and we started looking other ways possible to get sustained ourself,s for the day. My elder two brothers joined fishing latter i follow suit.

In 2005 June i again lost my mom, and things turn to be more worse than before. Out of this i come to realize better you lost your father first than your mother. From the death of my father i could not sense that my father is dead. till when my mother left i see we are now orphans.

After some months latter my one of my cousins come and went with me to town where i latter joined Mwangaza Atr School Nyalenda-Kisumu, Kenya. After my Art school i started working as an artist in Kisumu.
Career history / Company history:
My career is artist and the great granted tallent is making every one equal by bringing back hope, life to those who feel they have been neglected. Am an artist that works on craft production through using recycle materials. Being working alone could not help, I focused into the community through what i was doing. My women being left widows, young girls and children remains orphans the some as youths within many communities. I formed group and registered as Kowil Women And Orphans Self Help Group (KWOSH) REG.No. S.H. No. 10533 non profit making organization with membeship spanning among the young women, girl child and youths in Manyatta area within the very great Kisumu city. The group was registered in September 2005 and was incepted after a deep though among young artist who depend on making innovative craft products to earn their daily living. The group was formed with great desire of working in crft production in terms of training young unemployed women, girls and youths in general. The young women are mainly intrested in art and craft work. Within Kenya today, uneployement is at its peak and to make the matterseven more deplorable self employmentis seriously diminishing.

Art and Craft pays well enough if well attended to eith diligence and care. Highly refined skills are a gret necessity within this sector of informal employement. Most people who are associated with us did not have a chance to advancing in formal education hence it is a great avenue for them earn a decent living.
