I received my degree in environmental sciences in 2014. Out of college, I got a job in the hazardous/nonhazardous waste disposal industry. About a year ago, I got a sewing machine to make costumes for conventions, then quickly realized it is something I want to get serious about and really enjoy doing. However, considering my degree and my current career, it seemed odd to just switch to the fashion industry. I am here hoping to find a way to marry the two industries so I can make use of my degree and work experience, as well as building my skills as a designer.
