The translation of the Kichwa word ‘yanapaqi’ largely encompasses our mission. Through the crafts we sell, we learn from the culture of ethnic minorities in Ecuador and we present to the world the creations of indigenous women working in rural areas. These talented women create genuine works of art that would otherwise never reach our wardrobes. On one hand, our project seeks to create a sustainable income for these women artists that contributes to protecting their heritage. On the other hand, we promote responsible fashion, which responds to the desire expressed by consumers to know where their goods come from and under which conditions they are produced. Furthermore, we do our best to be respectful of the environment and we incorporate natural materials found in Ecuadoran agriculture to our creations.
