About me / About business or organisation:: Ethik-BGC is a social economy project of FEM International, a not-for-profit organization that empowers women to reach their potential through socially and ecologically responsible entrepreneurship. Ethik-BGC is an incubator of ethical fashion. It is:

- a Boutique,
- a Gallery and
- a Business Centre

All our designers follow an ecological and/or social approach!

Career history / Company history:: Ethik-BGC is a project by FEM International. FEM International is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2005. Our mission is to empower women around the world to discover their potential as individuals, entrepreneurs and community leaders, through the dynamics of socially responsible entrepreneurship.

In Montreal, the organization is involved in promoting ethic in the fashion industry, based on the sustainable development principles. For that purpose, it created ModEthik the ethical fashion fair of Montreal and Ethik-BGC the incubator of ethical fashion and sustainable businesses, in addition to raising awareness through different projects and programmes here and abroad.

Since 2008, FEM International provides training, in Montreal and abroad, to women entrepreneurs in business start-up, sales and marketing of ethical fashion through an approch that puts the emphasis on incorporating sustainable development principles, at all stages of their projects or businesses, for the benefits of their communities, environment and themselves.

FEM International’s actions can be summarized in:

- Offering socially-responsible entrepreneurship training programs to women

- Creating an ethical and fair-trade market for products produced by women

- Raising awareness of responsible consumerism

- Boosting international and local volunteering.
