About me / About business or organisation:

Nancybird is a Melbourne based label, committed to good making and good design. Everything we make is designed in our sunny Northcote studio. The collections of leather goods, footwear, garments and home wares have a distinctively Australian feel, using raw, earthy materials.

We work directly with our makers, who are all small producers, in Australia, China, India, Korea and Europe.

We have produced custom ranges for clients such as NGV, AGNSW and Anthropologie US.

Nancybird is conscious of their environmental impact, and we have implemented changes large and small, for example:

our HQ uses 100% wind power
we flat pack all items and use recycled cardboard boxes
wherever possible we choose to sea freight our bulk deliveries
our preference is for natural materials – silk, cotton, linen and vegetable tanned leather

Career history / Company history:

Nancybird began in 2002 by owner Emily Wright as a leather accessories business, it has now grown to include clothing, footwear and homewares.
