Eclectic Clothing is a remade fashion label that produces one off hand made clothes and jewellery from recycled fabrics and reclaimed fabrics. As textiles is my passion I take a colourful and textural approach to my work, Up cycling garments destined for landfill and reworking them into extravagant one off statements pieces.
Career history / Company history:
BA (hons) fashion and textiles LJMU
2006 - I designed a collection for a catwalk show called 100% cotton at the maritime museum in Liverpool
2006 - my collection was also a part of a catwalk show at the Met Quarter designer shopping centre in Liverpool city centre.
2006 - I took part in the designing of clothes and presentation of a window display for River Island as a part of London fashion week
2006 - I won a completion in stitch with Madeira where I was awarded £1000 for my achievements in stitch work.
2007 - I exhibited my final collection at the Albert Docks in Liverpool
2007 - I exhibited at new designers in London
2007 - I was interviewed for the prestigious text print award in textiles.
2008 - I launched my own clothing label called Eclectic Clothing.
2008 - I exhibited at the Live and Let Live Gallery in Stourbridge
2009 - Sponsored by oxfam to produce a capsule collection for the catwalk.
2009 - currently in the process of applying to the art council to fund a collective exhibition and workshop project based around attainability.
