About me / About business or organisation:

I am just starting up as a social entrepreneur. Basically I arrange design workshops and lectures for women, poor and other marginalised groups in Egypt that work in handcraft or artisan initiatives. I believe that design is a tool for development and income, as well as for environmental and social progress. With my upcoming business I want to strengthen the nexus between design and development, culture and commerce, art and craft, and environment and ethics. As I am a beginner in the field of fair trade retailing I am thankful for any piece of advice.

Besides this I am working a a project manager/communications manager for several German NGOs as Amnesty International and Berliner Ratschlag für Demokratie.
