- I am currently a student of Textile Art, Design & Fashion at the Univerisity of Ulster Belfast, Northern Ireland. I have a passion for weave, print and embroidery as well as photography, experimentation, colour and interior design. This past year I have become a vegetarian and I am currently exploring a plantbased/vegan lifestyle. This has opened up a whole new world to me, ethically and artistically. It has made me more interested in research, the interconnectedness of nature in many ways of life and has also introduced me to food styling/photography. I am thoroughly enjoying this way of life and I am becoming compassionate about not harming my health and body through chemicals and toxins found in food. Throughout this time I have questioned myself as to why I would stay clear from additives through diet, yet use harsh chemicals in university everyday, such as dyes for example, that are not only harming me but also the environment and others around me. Therefore I have been experimenting with natural dyes, using spices and vegetables such as turmeric and red cabbage, as paints and fabric dyes. My blog is also based on combining the use of organic, plant based food and daily cooking in the kitchen, with natural ingredients to achieve unique colour palettes. I am focussed on moving away from dangerous chemicals within both passions in my life.
