- About me / About business or organisation:
- I am a freelance journalist, currently undertaking a PR and Sales internship for a new ethical bag company. I have always been interested in ethical fashion; I spent several years volunteering in my local charity shop and I also enjoy trawling vintage shops and markets for pre-loved items.
- Career history / Company history:
- The only retailers I have worked for have been ethical ones (Waitrose and White Stuff), and I have seen both companies making large contributions to the welfare of the local community and the charity sector. I also worked in a charity clothing shop for St. Catherine's Hospice, for two and a half years, which was very insightful and enjoyable. In my current role as a PR and sales intern, I have been working to promote ethical products and the use of hand-made traditional techniques rather than mass production, to achieve individual results for the consumer.
