Equa is a women's wear boutique based in Islington's Camden Passage in London a short walk from Angel tube station off Upper Street. Equa opened in September 2005 and was the first of its kind in London.
We are unique in London, proudly offering ethical style on the high street. All the collections found at our boutique and online are beautiful, stylish, desirable and ethical.
Being ethical can mean different things to different people. As an ethical fashion boutique however, we have a responsibility to ensure that all of our products have been produced under conditions and from materials that meet recognised ethical standards, and facilitate improvements in quality of life throughout the supply chain.
We buy from designers that have open, transparent supply chains, who care about who and where their collections are made and ensure that there has been no exploitation during their production. These are the principles of fair trade and this is what we require our labels to adhere to.
We are also committed to improving sustainability in the fashion industry. At Equa you will find organic cotton collections, clothing made from other sustainable fabrics such as bamboo and soya, shoes that have been made using reconstituted leather dyed using environmentally friendly dyes and also some wonderful vegan accessories.
