Prioritizing the use of materials with minimal environmental impact, Paula Gray brings to life one-of-a-kind items and limited editions on her lines Eco Couture and Slow Fashion. She seeks to restore Fashion as an element of dress and manifesto through designs made using sustainable processes, and being every piece lives with its owner timeless achieving the slow fashion premise. Inspired by real lives, versatile women with a social conscience, hard days stories and the need to connect with nature without leaving the humor, functionality, femininity and environmental care, Paula Gray conceived garments made to last and conquest through textures. Paula Gray evokes inclusive fashion collections, designed for women from different latitudes.
Career history / Company history:
Paula Gray was selected by ELLE magazine Mexico as one of the "Twelve Ecologist Designers" in 2009. She contributed as international guest on "Latin American Stories’ Runway” in Chile, among with Marcelo Senra and Colombian designer Camilo Alvarez, on October 2009. On this regard, Santiago Times described Paula Gray’s collection: "the highlight of the event was Certainly Argentinean Paula Gray's Collection Urban Conscience".
Her Little Black Dress proposal was ranked by ELLE as one of "The 7 Best Dresses in Mexican Fashion Market" In 2006 she was included in "100 Argentine Women Trend-setters" (Tendencia Magazine)
Paula achieved a 2nd. place at "DAS Fashion 09" Competition (panel of judges Maria Pizzolo, Laura Valenzuela and Mariana Dapiano) The designer supports a social project called "Consuma Dignidad" through her work as eco entrepreneur, being her last meeting with students from the University of Belgrano -as well as various indie projects- held on September 2009. Paula Gray has provided her clothes to celebrities such as Spanish top model Esther Canadas.
Paula Gray, a true pioneer of sustainable design proposal in Argentina related to SLOW FASHION, licensed in LA, Mexico, UK, Madrid and Argentina was selected in the 15 designers who participated in the Fashion Freak Runway.
